The Problem I'm Solving
Roofing and solar contractors spend $150-$300 per lead on shared marketplaces like Angi, HomeAdvisor, and Thumbtack. These leads are sold to 3-5 competing contractors simultaneously, resulting in a race-to-the-bottom on pricing and a terrible close rate (typically under 15%).
I built GeoQuote to fix this. Instead of competing for shared leads, GeoQuote converts a contractor'sexisting website visitors into booked appointments using satellite-powered instant estimates. The homeowner enters their address, sees their roof measured in real-time, gets a ballpark price, and books — all in under 60 seconds.
The result: exclusive leads at $15-$40 each instead of $150-$300 shared ones. That's a 40-80% reduction in cost per lead.
Technical Background
GeoQuote is built on a hardened 3-service architecture: Vercel for the marketing site and dashboard, a global CDN for the embeddable widget, and Google Cloud Run for the satellite measurement API. The platform processes satellite imagery, applies computer-vision measurement algorithms, and returns roof dimensions with sub-foot accuracy.
My tech stack includes Next.js 15, TypeScript, Firebase (Firestore + Auth), Stripe for billing, and the Google Maps / Google Solar APIs for geospatial intelligence. I write every line of code — frontend, backend, DevOps, and infrastructure.
